Friday 30th August 2013:
Top French media are reporting today that Andre Ayew wants to stay at Marseille, although this is not confirmed by us.
Tuesday 27th August 2013:
Marseille President Labrune supposedly had a meeting with Ayew to discuss his future, but the results of these talks are unknown.
We, Football News, can also confirm that contrary to reports, Marseille have not received a single offer for A.Ayew as yet.
Monday 26th August 2013:
We, Football News, now have confirmation that Everton also had scouts at the Marseille game to watch Ayew play and could be considering a move as Roberto Martinez is desperate to bring in a midfielder by the end of the window after Clement Chantome went to Toulouse instead.
The Times Newspaper report this morning that Newcastle have made an offer of £7 million for the player, which would be slightly below Marseille’s supposed estimation for him. This bid is at this stage unconfirmed by us.
Sunday 25th August 2013:
RMC are now reporting that Andre Ayew will meet with Marseille President Vincent Labrune at the beginning of this coming week to discuss his future. Whether this is due to a formal approach having been made is unknown.
Saturday 24th August 2013:
RMC have today confirmed that Newcastle had representatives at Marseille’s game against Valenciennes on Friday to watch the player. They say that Joe Kinnear was there personally to watch the player and decide on whether to make a move.
Friday 23rd August 2013:
According to Le 10 Sport, Newcastle are readying an offer for the player, who could be available for no more than €10 million.
Andre Ayew has announced interest from Barcelona already this market, but the Spanish Club do not appear to have made any formal approach for the player.
