Football News understands that Premier League sides Newcastle United and West Ham United have now both presented Lyon striker Bafétimbi Gomis with offers, joining Trabzonspor, Galatasaray and Besiktas who had already done so earlier this week, as we exclusively informed you.
Gomis, 28, also has a contract extension proposal on the table form Lyon, with his current deal running out next month.
Trabzonspor have set a deadline for Gomis to accept or decline their offer but none of the other parties have at the time of writing.
Galatasaray are understood to have offered the player the most lucrative contract at present, with the two English sides’ offers considerably less than what the Turkish sides have offered.
Newcastle and West Ham have however not entered into as many rounds of negotiations as the Turkish sides have and it is believed that talks will continue between Gomis’ agent Etienne Mendy and the Premier League teams over the coming days.
