Charlton manager Bob Peeters has confirmed that Tours striker Andy Delort is “an interesting player” to Sky Sports.
He had the following to say:
“It’s good that he wants to play for Charlton. I love players who want to come and play for us. I let players go who don’t want to be here anymore, I only want dedicated players and players who want to come here and join us. Andy Delort is an interesting player but at this moment he is still playing for Tours. I think something between the two clubs (is being discussed). I hear a lot of rumours, but then again everyday another team comes in to sign him. At the moment, there is no signing.”
Andy Delort has agreed to a provisional five year contract with Charlton, but Tours’s demands of €4m plus hefty bonuses means a deal is not struck at the time of writing.
