According to our colleagues at L’Equipe, Nantes striker Filip Djordjevic has rejected an offer from Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, the club where Frenchman Florent Malouda currently plies his trade.
The Serbian striker, who has already agreed a pre-contract with Serie A side Lazio which will see him move there at the end of this season, recently confirming that ‘I will be at Nantes until the end of the season.’
Sky Italia reported last night that Lazio were close to being in a position to make Djordjevic’s signing for June official. Most reports claim that the player has agreed a 4 year contract with the Italian side.
The French newspaper claims that Turkish giants Trabzonspor are understood to have made an encouraging offer for Djordjevic which would have seen Nantes recoup some cash this month compared with the prospect they are currently faced with: of letting him go for nothing in summer.
Anyway, the player is understood to have promptly rejected the Turkish offer and seems totally set on moving to Italy for the 2014/2015 season.
