Football News has been told that new Lyon boss Hubert Fournier has every intention of bring Stade de Reims’ right-back Aissa Mandi to the club.
The player is currently at the World Cup with Algeria, and transfer negotiations will properly occur once the player returns from the tournament and then his holiday. Fournier has no intention of re-loaning Sporting Lisbon’s Miguel Lopes, who is well liked by President Jean Michel Aulas.
L’Equipe believe that St Étienne are also interested in Mandi.
There are rumours also circulating that Fournier is in talks to bring Krychowiak with him to Lyon, but the €8m price tag makes this a non-story. The player would ideally move to a Bundesliga side, despite notable interest from Anderlecht.
