20:52 GMT: There you have it. Thank you for following the commentary tonight and see you all again soon. Au Revoir!
FT: Nice 0-0 Nantes, Rennes 2-2 Montpellier, Lorient 1-3 Toulouse, Sochaux 1-0 Guingamp, Reims 1-0 Bordeaux.
20:49 GMT: We are running out of time around the grounds but as it stands tonight’s big winners are Sochaux and Reims. Sochaux will be just 4 points of Valenciennes in 18th and Reims move ahead of Lyon again!
20:45 GMT: GOAL: Rennes 2-2 Montpellier (Camara) We will have a very intriguing end here in Rennes after Remy Cabella’s masterful delivery is headed home by Camara. Tovionen the culprit for giving the ball away in a dangerous area initially.
20:41 GMT: Still quite bored over here on the Cote D’Azur. A real nothing game between Nice and Nantes but there are five minutes left for something to happen. Maupay’s arrival on the pitch has injected some flair into the attack.
20:40 GMT: Sochaux 1-0 Guingamp (Sunzu) Sochaux have the breakthrough and Stoppila Sunzu has his second of the season. A free kick comes in from the far right hand side and Sunzu’s diving header is unstoppable. Nobody picked him up on the far post though.
20:38 GMT: It is getting frantic in Sochaux. Sinkala forces Samassa to make a stunning save- Les Lionceaux have every chance of three points tonight, Jordan Ayew’s finishing has been suspect however.
20:36 GMT: GOAL: Lorient 1-3 Toulouse (Braithwaite) TFC have put this game to bed after Braithwaite slots home having received a wonderfully weighted through ball from Ben Yedder. Audard failed to come out and cause the Dane issues but this one is now most probably over.
20:34 GMT: Lovely save from Johnny Placide for Reims after a great free kick from Sertic. Bordeaux are really going all out at the moment and Placide has been really excellent. Of course, he is only the second keeper to the mighty Kossi Agassa who is out at present.
20:29 GMT: GOAL: Lorient 1-2 Toulouse (Aurier) Toulouse have turned this one around to the delight of their manager Alain Casanova. Aurier fires home from a cross into the 6 yard area. Good night’s work from TFC. But it is not over yet!
20:25 GMT: Nice have had a lot of set pieces today and have done little with them. Nantes have not been dangerous and look lost without Djordjevic. Audel has been uninspiring to put it politely.
20:23 GMT: Henri Saivet has just hit the post in response to De Preville’s opener minutes ago. The tricky winger cuts inside but his shot is curving outwards rather than inwards.
20:22 GMT: Rennes 2-1 Montpellier (Tovionen) There is a hint of Ibrahimovic about Tovionen tonight, such an arrogant finish as he rolls the ball past Jourdren with the outside of his foot after receiving a weighted through ball.
20:19 GMT: GOAL: Reims 1-0 Bordeaux (De Preville) Nicolas De Preville has socred a wonderful goal to take the lead after faking a pass and an attempt to dribble past Henrique, he shoots from outside the area and into the top left corner of the goal!
20:17 GMT: Rennes have rolled the dice by replacing one of their best player’s tonight in the form of Kamel Grosicki with the talent that is Paul Georges Ntep. We will see what that does- 1-1 as it stands.
20:16 GMT: GOAL: Lorient 1-1 Toulouse (Ben Yedder) The side with a man advantage make that count after Aurier’s ball is not initially dealt with and after another flick into the box, Ben Yedder pounces to slot home.
20:13 GMT: Christian Brüls has a free kid at Nice. He will probably miss… Well it was actually Abriel who laid it off to the Belgian but his shot is low and harmless and Dupé gathers it easily.
20:12 GMT: Well, Reims vs Bordeaux has yet to get anymore exciting than in the first half. De Preville fails to get decent contact with his head and the ball loops over the bar after the corner.
20:07 GMT: GOAL: Rennes 1-1 Montpellier (Congre) The away side who have been better this half have equalised after a Siaka Tiene free kick was struck with beauty and Congre dispatched it with his head.
20:03 GMT: Rennes have started well in this second half against Montpellier after a shot from Kadir who has been lively all night. Montpellier need to wake up, Cabella invisible.
20:02 GMT: Nice stuff from Roy Contout who dances past 4 Guingamp players before firing off a week shot from a difficult angle into the arms of the goalkeeper.
19:59 GMT: The team are out and we are ready around the grounds for the second halves. Goal dances would be most appreciated!
19:47 GMT: Well that is half time. Only two goals to tell you about. Ola Tovionen has made it Rennes 1-0 Montpellier and Lorient lead against the odds having been taken down to ten men over Toulouse after a Lautoa finish.
19:46 GMT: Fantastic chance for Toulouse to equalise against Lorient. Braithwaite does the hard work but then confusingly decides to flick the ball over the bar after pressure from the outrushing Audard.
19:43 GMT: Alexy Bosetti has a good chance saved by Nantes’ 2nd string goalkeeper Maxime Dupé.
19:42 GMT: Rennes are all over Montpellier here. Romain Alessandrini forces a huge save from Jourdren and Foued Kadir hits the bar.
19:41 GMT: GOAL: Lorient 1-0 Toulouse. 10 men Lorient have the lead over Toulouse through Wesley Lautoa who slots home from the corner.
19:39 GMT: Bordeaux have a problem at Reims. Goalkeeper and captain Cedric Carrasso has had to leave the field. He has tweaked his left leg it would appear and goalkeeper Olimpa is replacing him.
19:38 GMT: Jordan Ayew’s build up play has already improved in my eyes since Marseille shipped him off to Sochaux on loan. He shows signs of this moments ago with a nice jinking run but his shot his wayward.
19:36 GMT: Not nice to see Lorient fans booing Abel Aguilar either because Traoré fouled him and was subsequently sent off. Not the TFC player’s fault, although he did perhaps make more of it then it merited.
19:35 GMT: Etienne Didot is having a very good game for Toulouse today. Running the show in the midfield and his dribbling/dancing nearly gives TFC a chance down the middle of the pitch.
19:32 GMT: Toulouse have taken advantage of Lorient going down to ten men and only an impressive challenge from Aboubakar stops the away side from taking the lead.
19:29 GMT: Reims have not been at the races so far today. Bordeaux closest to scoring through Hoarau and Sertic but it is hard to see where the home side will find goals.. having send that Mandi has just had an impressive strike over dramatically saved by Carrasso.
19:28 GMT: What a stop from Zacharie Boucher! Lorient take a dangerous free kick through Jeremie Aliadiere but Toulouse’s January keeper signing stands up to the challenge.
19:27 GMT: I tell you what Brüls’ set piece taking today has been appalling. OGC Nice are still in control against Nantes however.
19:20 GMT: RED CARD: Alain Traoré has been sent off after a very late challenge in the middle of the pitch on Aguilar. It looks quite harsh.
19:19 GMT: Giresse has a free kick that goes into the wall against Sochaux. EAG will be hoping to build on a good midweek victory in the Coupe de France. All a bit frantic over at Sochaux.
19:13 GMT: Reims vs Bordeaux has been a little bit boring in all honesty. The away side are however on top of an out of form SDR team. Les Girondins’ corners have so far lacked precision to really threaten.
19:12 GMT: OGC Nice have had several dangerous free kicks wasted by Christian Bruls against Nantes. Certainly a brighter start than the Canaris have had who are missing Djordjevic tonight.
19:10 GMT: GOAL: Rennes 1-0 Montpellier. Ola Tovionen scores the first goal of the night after a very bright start from the home side. A corner for Montpellier now however…
19:07 GMT: A little anecdote for Arsenal fans out there. Toulouse right-back/right winger/assist maker Serge Aurier is captaining his side tonight. He openly loves the North London club.
19:05 GMT: Rennes have started off well against Montpellier, with Kamel Grosicki making things happen for the Brittany side down the wing.
19:02 GMT: CHANCE! Huge chance for Kevin Monnet Paquet who was offside anyway but a ball comes in across the box and Boucher is brave to shove the ball away.
