According to L’Equipe today, Roma have rejected an approach by PSG for Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanić.
The playmaker has been at current side Roma since his move from Lyon in 2011 and appears to have been Laurent Blanc’s main midfield target for this market according to L’Equipe’s reports. It now appears that the Bosnian will be remaining in Italy this market and will be denied a move by his club.
L’Equipe suggest that any proposed deal from PSG’s side included Argentinian Javier Pastore, who has endured a turbulent time in Paris over the last few years. It still remains to be seen if the PSG midfielder will stay at the club.
With Pjanic now apparently out of the picture, it will have to be seen if Blanc turns to other midfield targets, with the likes of Yohan Cabaye, Paul Pogba and Juan Mata all linked with the French champions.
