According to our colleagues at France Football, Premier League side Liverpool have taken the lead in the race for PSG left-back Lucas Digne.
AS Roma have held serious talks with the player and Valencia have made enquiries, but Liverpool have apparently taken pole position in the race for the player, with the report claiming that a deal would cost €12m plus bonuses.
Football News understands that there are a few inaccuracies in the report. First of all, PSG will insist on recouping at least €15m plus bonuses so that they don’t make a loss on the player they signed from Lille for €15m. A departure for Lucas Digne can only occur if PSG sign another left-back first, with talks underway with Lorient for Raphael Guerreiro.
PSG would ideally like to loan Lucas Digne out so that he returns to the club in 2016 when Maxwell will surely leave.
