OGC Nice manager Claude Puel is understood to have personally spoken to central defender Renato Civelli about a possible move back to the club this summer, Football News can reveal.
The 31 year old central defender, who has been approached by Nice for the third time in as many windows, has always turned down a move for two reasons. His salary at Bursaspor is much better than what he would earn at Nice but also that the Turkish side never had an interest in selling the player.
This window is different. Renato Civelli is out of contract at the end of this month and, while he has been approached by two Argentinian sides about a return to South America, a return to Nice is more possible that it ever has been. Bursaspor have placed a contract extension offer on the table, but Civelli has not particularly enjoyed his time in Turkey.
