Angers will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Monaco as Rennes visit the Stade Jean-Bouin. The hosts suffered only their second loss of the league campaign after narrowly going down 1-0 away at Monaco, a result that saw Lyon leapfrog them in the table. It remains an extremely good start to the season for Angers, but manager Stephane Moulin will be eager to get back to winning ways here.
Rennes, meanwhile, have hit a bit of a wall in terms of results. Although the visitors have lost just three of their 12 league games so far, they haven’t won since the middle of September, and have subsequently slipped down to 10th in the standings. They head into this game on the back of a 1-0 loss at home to champions PSG last Friday.
