Rennes will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing defeat as they clash with rivals Guingamp at Roazhon Park on Friday evening. The hosts fell to a 3-0 loss away to newly-promoted Dijon last time out, a result that leaves them 11th in the table, and that isn’t good enough for the Rennes faithful, as it means they currently sit one point and three places below neighbours Guingamp.
The visitors are also heading into this match on the back of a defeat, a 1-0 loss away to Bastia. A derby victory on their rival’s turf will go some way into making up for it though, which is exactly what Antoine Kombouare will be hoping his team can produce tonight.
In the corresponding fixture last season, Guingamp emerged 3-0 winners.
