Ligue 1 side Lorient have accepted a new offer from Premier League side Sunderland for the transfer of defender Lamine Koné, the club’s Vice President Alex Hayes has confirmed.
The fee is believed to be worth upwards of €6m. It is not clear whether or not the player has agreed to the move, but things are certainly moving the right direction.
Hayes told Ouest France the following:
“Sunderland have come back with a concrete offer that we couldn’t refuse. The ball is therefore in Lamine Koné’s camp. He has to make his decision in the coming hours.”
