According to Foot 365, FC Nantes have made a late attempt to sign TP Mazembe attacker Mbwana Ally Samatta.
TP Mazembe had already agreed a fee with Belgian side Genk, only for Nantes to make an eleventh hour bid.
According to the report, Les Canaris’ last gasp offer might be in vain. This offer has come about in the first place because TP Mazembe President Moïse Katumbi wants to make more money from this transfer, despite the player’s contract expiring in just 4 months time.
However, Samatta has already reached an agreement with Genk and is apparently not a man to go back on his word. The English-speaking dressing room and shortage of attacking options at Genk were powerful arguments to convince Samatta to join the Belgian outfit in the first place, and it is not believed that he will be swayed by Nantes.
