Speaking to Foot Mercato, Angers President Saïd Chabane discussed his striker Nicolas Pépé’s situation.
“€10m for Pépé? Probably a little bit more. He is a player who, if he continues on this trajectory, can do some great things. He is similar to a player like Dembélé. I think that Dembélé has already earned back his price. I do not see why we wouldn’t ask for this type of price for Nicolas Pépé.”
“There is only Nicolas Pépé who will be allowed to leave. He will leave judging by the offers coming in at the moment. I think that he will leave. I asked for €10m this winter. Today, we have received two offers and both offers are slightly above €10m.”
Newcastle United and Lille are judged to be the sides most interested in Pépé at the time of writing.
