Premier League side Manchester City finally reached a €57.5m deal with AS Monaco last night, after their initial three bids worth €40m, €45m, €52.5m were all rejected, according to L’Équipe.
Last night, Monaco and Manchester City were exchanging deal papers, with the finer details of the agreement set to be hashed out in the coming hours.
Mendy is expected to rapidly undergo a medical and sign a very long-term contract with the Citizens, most probably longer than a 5-year-deal.
Leonardo Jardim has been informed by Monaco representatives that Mendy will leave the club. Pep Guardiola, who has been waiting impatiently on this deal, will fly Mendy out immediately for him to join City’s tour of the US. Mendy had given his personal agreement at the end of last month to Manchester City after being impressed by Pep Guardiola’s discourse.
