Ligue 1 side FC Metz have seen their 2 points deduction at least temporarily removed following a decision by the Appeals Commission.
Les Grenats were initially sanctioned by the LFP for a fan throwing a firecracker at Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes which saw the Ligue 1 match in question called off halfway through. It will be replayed at a later, yet to be confirmed date.
After appealing the LFP’s decision, Metz have overturned the 2 points deduction that they received from the incident. Barring a counter procedure from the LFP, Metz might have rescued two vital points in their continuing battle against regulation.
