Attacking midfielder Axel Ngando has left Bastia for Turkish side Goztepe on a contract until June 2020.
It seems as though Ngando left before any further trouble could happen at the Corsican club, with Bastia looking likely to be relegated from Ligue 2 due to financial irregularities.
The 23-year-old is adept at playing down the middle from defensive midfield to a deep-lying centre forward role, as well as occasionally finding himself on either wing. Last season in Ligue 1, Ngando only made 20 appearances as Bastia were relegated, with the majority of his time coming in the attacking midfielder position.
This move could be a good way for Ngando to keep learning in a top-flight league, and maybe could be a way to keep eyes on him instead of having to toil in the lower echelons of French football.
