Ligue 1 side AS Nancy Lorraine have confirmed that French central defender Clément Lenglet will join Spanish outfit Sevilla in the coming hours.
An fee agreement worth around €6m is believed to have been reached between the two clubs, with Nancy initially asking Sevilla to wait until the 31st January for a deal to go through so that ASNL could find an apt replacement.
This demand infuriated Lenglet, who is understood to have had discussions with Nancy to that effect in recent days, appearing to force the club’s hand to agree to the sale immediately.
The 21 year old will experience Champions League football with Sevilla and is expected to sign a 4.5 year deal with the Andalusian side in the coming hours. The deal will then be completed, subject to a medical.
