Ibrahima Konaté has left Sochaux in favour to moving to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, after deciding not to sign a renewed contract at the French club.
Konaté has only recently turned 18-years-old, but still managed to play 12 Ligue 2 matches last season and one game in the Coupe de la Ligue in the second half of the season, promising much in the way of talent.
Many consider this move to be a great buy for the German club, but Sochaux will be bitterly disappointed that their young defender will leave for a small fee.
Konaté had been part of the Sochaux youth set up for multiple years, playing in the U19s side in 2016 before making the step up to first team football early on in 2017.
The Frenchman helped Sochaux stave off any threat of relegation as they finished in a comfortable position of 13th in Ligue 2.
