Following the expiry of his contract with Bastia, Ligue 1 veteran Gaël Danic has signed a one-year deal with former club Lorient.
Danic, who has played over 300 times in the top-flight, was with Les Merlus for half a season back in 2006.
Upon signing, the 35-year-old said, “Lorient is a special club for me. I had a great joy with the climb in 2006. It is an interesting challenge that I am offered today and I intend to do everything possible to achieve the desired goals.”
“Gaël will bring his experience with a rich career path in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. His technical qualities and his ability to be decisive in the last pass will be particularly useful to us,” added Lorient manager, Mickaël Landreau.
