Veteran midfielder Mathieu Bodmer has joined Guingamp on a six-month deal following the termination of his contract by Nice.
The 34-year-old has recently has made 12 Ligue 1 appearances this season for the high-flying Nice, but today left the club to join Guingamp, who are currently 5th, looking for a place in next seasons Europa League.
The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder will wear the number 27 for Guingamp, and ends his four-year association with the club on the Riviera after years of good service.
Bodmer’s experience at the top level will be a huge asset to Anthony Kombouare’s side, who are six points off of Lyon in 4th. His veteran skills will be a huge boost to Guingamp and could prove to be a very smart signing.
