Montpellier have announced the signing of former Lorient goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte.
Lecomte is the second signing of the summer for MHSC and will be a great addition to the side, adding experience and consistency to the Montpellier back line.
The 26-year-old joined Lorient back in 2008 and spent multiple years on loan to learn the trade and when he finally returned in 2014, he became a staple in the team, growing into one of their most important players.
“I sincerely feel a lot of pride after signing with the club, now I am looking forward to joining the group and putting on the gloves for preseason,” explained Lecomte upon his arrival.
Montpellier president Laurent Nicollin said, “we are pleased with this signature, it is a great opportunity, it is a great goalkeeper who we have been following for some time. Now, he is at home and we are delighted. I hope he will make beautiful seasons at the Paillade.”
