Lens midfielder Benjamin Bourigeaud has officially signed with Stade Rennais on a four-year-deal for a reported fee of €5m.
The 23-year-old has been at Lens since 2013, coming through the youth ranks with the Ligue 2 club, making 20 appearances in only his debut season with the club.
The central midfielder comes in to the French top flight with room to improve, and his passing ability coupled with his eye for a key pass means that Bourigeaud could become a key player for Rennes in years to come.
“It is an honour for me to join Rennes. I cannot wait to join up with the squad, to meet my new teammates and to play in the club colours. Leaving Lens was not easy, but now I am 23-years-old, I have to take my career to the next level. I think everything I need is at Rennes, so I can continue to progress.”
