AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoué Bakayoko’s proposed move to Chelsea has still yet to occur, leading to speculation from the English media relating to a possible hijacking of the deal by Manchester United.
A €40m agreement was said to have been reached several weeks ago between the two clubs, but Bakayoko is still yet to sign the dotted line to join the Premier League champions.
France Football report today that Chelsea are hesitating over completing the deal owing to a problem that Bakayoko is having with his knee.
The Monaco man apparently requires an operation which would count him out of action for between 8 to 10 weeks, for an ongoing problem that he has been suffering since February.
There is no knowledge of any Manchester United hijack of the Bakayoko deal in France.
