Angers have completed the signing of Harrison Manzala from Amiens for an undisclosed fee, believed to be worth around €1m, with the contract keeping him at the club until 2022.
The 24-year-old made 38 appearances across both Ligue 1 and the Coupe de la Ligue last season, scoring four times in 37 Ligue 1 games and will add a lot of excitement to an Angers side who will be keen to improve on their performance in the league last season.
While Manzala is predominantly a right midfielder, occasionally across last season he played in a number of positions including as a left winger and even a centre forward at times. This versatility and consistency for Amiens will have alerted Angers and his performances towards the end of last season will give SCO confidence in his ability this coming year.
Despite being born in France, Manzala is slowly making a name for himself in the ranks of the DR Congo, making four appearances for their U21 team and scoring one goal in the process.
