Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Ligue 1 side Angers to sign striker Karl Toko Ekambi on a 5-year-deal.
The Cameroonian is due to be presented to the media at midday on Friday.
Ekambi signs for the Yellow Submarine after a particularly prolific season in France, netting 17 goals from 39 appearances in total.
The 25-year-old will be a useful offensive asset for Javier Calleja’s outfit, and will bring pace and a proven goal-scoring record to a Villarreal side that will be participating in next year’s Europa League, having finished in 5th in this season’s La Liga campaign.
The deal is understood to amount to a total of €20m, which will equal Angers’ largest ever sale, with Ekambi understood to have previously rejected transfer offers to join China and Brighton in January.
