Football Leaks obtained by French outlet Mediapart show that Kylian Mbappé demanded €55m over 5 years excluding taxes, private jet flights, bonuses higher than other players and even a guarantee to become the highest paid player at the club if he wins the Ballon D’Or, the outlet claims.

Football Leaks also allegedly show that Jorge Mendes received €9m from his €180m transfer to PSG through backdated contracts, for work that is difficult to define.
Mbappé’s lawyer, Delphine Verheyden, told Mediapart that Kylian Mbappé did not want to answer their questions, invoking “the confidentiality that we are bound by.”
The first trace of Kylian Mbappé in the Football Leaks dates back to December 2012 – the young boy from Bondy had only just turned 14 and was in his second year at the INF Clairefontaine, France’s premier football academy and is dreaming of a move to Real Madrid. He was later invited to Madrid by Zinedine Zidane, with his parents, for four days. Little Kylian manages to get a photo with Cristiano Ronaldo, the player who he had posters up of in his room.
Kylian at this point was in dreamland – from Real Madrid to Chelsea, all the big clubs wanted him – but his parents have their feet on the ground – both were sportspeople. His dad, Wilfrid, was a player and manager of AS Bondy and his mother, Fayza, was a professional 1st division handball player, in Bondy. They were not looking for the most prestigious club, but rather the one where his talent and potential will be realised the quickest.
