At the 7th time of asking, AS Monaco boss Thierry Henry won his first game as a manager last night, with a Falcao free-kick proving enough to overcome Caen, 1-0.
He had the following to say to the press:
“I am happy for the team, the fans, we needed that, even if it wasn’t a match with great rhythm. We could have been in trouble and in football, you never know what happens. We waited and it turned in our favour. Caen are a team that crosses quickly, brings fight, we knew what to expect. The way in which we achieve wins is important in general, but we were not there. The way, we will think about after.”
