United States international central defender Matt Miazga is in London to finalise the termination of his loan agreement with FC Nantes, according to Ouest France.
The Chelsea defender was not training at the Jonelière this morning with his Nantes team-mates in what brings to an end a catastrophic loan spell with Les Canaris.
He played 7 times, and has not featured in Ligue 1 since the 6th October.
Nantes manager Vahid Halilhodzic spoke on the US national team player in a press conference this afternoon ahead of cup action vs Entente SSG, claiming that the Chelsea man “blackmailed” him in an extraordinary tirade:
“The blackmail that I was speaking of yesterday, it related to Matt Miazga. He assured me that he had back pain. After tests, there was clearly no problem… He just wanted to quit the club. This morning, Matt Miazga was in England, at Chelsea. He warned nobody… These sorts of things annoy me. We have to deal with it, even if it really disappointed me.”
