PSG Deputy Sporting Director Maxwell’s ex-wife is accusing him of domestic violence

Globo report that PSG’s Deputy Sporting Director and former left-back Maxwell’s ex-wife has made an accusation of domestic violence and death threats against her ex-husband.

The woman in question, Giulia Nagamine, is claimed to have seen her relationship with Maxwell begin to fracture in 2012 following an act of aggression from the ex-footballer. In 2015, the former player is then claimed to have punched his wide after threatening her with death in 2015. New threats are understood to have been made in 2018.

Since then, Giulia Nagamine has returned to Brazil with her children and filed a legal complaint on 27th March at Belo Horizonte. Per the legal counsel of the accuser, Maxwell is now banned from approaching her.

Maxwell has responded in a press statement:

“I am saddened to see how a person who I have experienced, and the mother of my marvellous children, is using the law in such a way. For the good of my children, I will prove my complete innocence that all of this is a lie. Out of respect to the wife of my children, I will not be commenting any further on this matter.”
